For HRVs, select whether or not you would like to use it t use it to dehumidify in winter. The default time for fan runtime is usually good for most homes. And yes, this feature works beautifully now that the system is hooked up correctly. Look at the Home IQ graphs from the ecobee web portal - does the indoor temperature drop slower while you have the temperature set back and the fan running all night, than if you dont have the fan running at all or very little? Running the fan can help make the house more comfortable during the winter, and keep condensation off windows. If you see _minFanOnTime’s value change from 10 to 0 at the ecobee portal, and your fan is still running on its own (as the fan will still run when your HVAC is heating or cooling even if you set this parameter to 0), then there must be a problem with the way your fan is wired to your HVAC. I looked into it at the time, and folks said it helped balance temperatures and filter air, which made sense, so I just left it alone.
